    So… I built a rudimentary visual programming language that assembles to Swift and lets you create everything entirely with an Apple Pencil using + . I highly suggest you check out the playground and then the standalone app!

    While yes, TV+ seems to be a bit lackluster compared to what Netflix has now, it's definitely targeting a different audience that Netflix does; I would compare it more to than anything else.

    I love the idea of Arcade, but I'm afraid that it's going to increase the reliance on publishers w/ existing relationships with Apple and push out devs from the picture even more.

    Side note – I’m strongly in support of Apple sending out a monthly notification of how much people are spending on subscriptions with a one-click unsubscribe button. Screen Time has done a fantastic job doing something similar for notifications. [12/12]

    To be clear, I’m completely against using subscriptions manipulatively, like that coloring app making the rounds or like Audible. Just because some people mis-use a feature, that doesn’t mean it won’t benefit other software for customers and creators. [11/12]

    In the case of a coloring book app, I would argue that the developer should use in app purchases for every book/collection (similar to a DLC in a game) or have a (very cheap) subscription to unlock access to all books, assuming the developer is continuously adding more. [10/12]

    …keep investing time in their work. Instead, they usually just move on to another project, like they should. On the other hand, most utility software requires continuous maintenance, which I’m more than willing to pay a recurring fee to the developer for. [9/12]

    That said, I don’t think subscriptions should be used for products that aren’t going to be under continuous development, like single-player games, movies, or books. When I buy a game like Superhot or Crabitron (RIP), I have no expectation of the developer to… [8/12]

    …couple years in order to pay their salaries, despite the new features (imo) rarely justifying such a large version bump. They should be able to continuously focus on making the product better w/ subscription-based income. [7/12]

    …users satisfied & retaining subscribers. I look at amazing apps like Twitterific, Tweetbot , Screens, Parallels, etc. which have devs who have been dedicating themselves to their products for ages, yet have to resort to a system where they bump the major version every… [6/12]
