The idea that the free market is completely separate from government, isn’t even true if you ask Adam Smith. The free market is not out in nature somewhere, waiting to be unleashed. It is a product of government. The question is then, who is government serving?

Exhibit A: The endless extension of copyrights and patents helps drug companies, entertainment companies, etc, creating monopolies.
Does it help you? Consumers? Should we remove such laws? “Free” up there market?

We only yell “free market” when the removal of restrictions helps corporate power, not regular people.
For us, it’s merciless capitalism. For them endless protections and socialism.
