The public option is a joke. Insurance companies will push clients they deem as “risky” into the public system—thus draining it.
Instead we must ceate a base level for all. Those who can may pay for supplemental insurance. But everyone gets that base, i.e.,

Part of my reluctance with eliminating private insurance is that you're throwing a lot of people's employment into jeopardy. (The people that work in the insurance industry.) I'm fine with any solution that provides coverage for all. Just not sure that M4A is the right focus.

Another #publicoption problem: it's an opt-in program, right in the name.
Making people jump through hoops like filling out forms creates a barrier to access for anyone unaware of the program.
Automatic enrollment, even if it's just for the uninsured, is better & covers everyone.
