I assume everyone would agree that J&J is very likely to be approved, but to get from 99% sure of something to 99.9% (or 99.9% to 99.99%) can take a *lot* of work.

This vaccine development cycle unprecedentedly fast, though. Right? Regulations are basically fighting the last war, which actually just makes sense.

Use of technology in drug development has vastly improved vs decades past through use of eg computers to speed up research into novel methods (mRNA sequencing, etc). So when DT touted, “fastest vaccine development ever!” vs decades ago, he’s taking undue credit due 2 technology.
