Since there's no gap so far between the Senate and the presidency so far I suppose that claim also implies that Biden could win Alaska. (I do not think Joe Biden is going to win Alaska. Just saying we don't know much about it yet if there's no mail vote counted.)

To calibrate here, Fivey thinks Biden (who's running about evenly with Gross) has a 4% chance of winning Alaska conditional on the outcomes of the called states. Alaska is relatively uncorrelated with other states but still this is a big ask. projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-biden-el

I don't think he thinks he'll win, it's just a thing a candidate kinda has to say to lift the spirits of their supporters. Who says "yeah we'll lose once the votes are counted"?
