So, the UK had tested 65,000 people as of March 19. Not great, but a lot of countries got off to slow starts. But now they're only up to 163,000 tests. That's only about 7,000 tests per day over the past two weeks.😬Quite pathetic. gov.uk/guidance/coron

The state of New York has done around 221k tests as of yesterday. They aren't accelerating but the pace has been steady, and everyone aside from WA and CA (reporting related issues) appear to be growing significantly.

WSJ reports concerns in US among healthcare professionals about reliability of testing taking place
Testing is not some macho game - it is the reliability of tests that counts
Not sure US response is perfect model for us all
Not helped by confusing themselves (government ministers and the media both) by mixing up antigen (test if virus active) with antibody (if had the virus ) tests, the government prioritised and purchased millions of the antibody ones when they were going for herd immunity.

Weird. I've been told that the NHS was beloved and should be a model for us. Huh.

They just got a shipment in today... Of 30 ventilators, despite needed 30,000. Their government is being found out.
