And if I'm playing Early Morning Bad Narrative Cop, this is an extremely weird Narrative coming from some Sanders surrogates. Buttigieg's comments were extremely boilerplate, basically that Trump and Sanders voters both suffer economic anxiety and are disaffected with the system.https://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/1120140899378520064 …

Come on ⁦@PeteButtigieg⁩. It is intellectually dishonest to compare Bernie to Trump. Bernie is for giving people healthcare, education, childcare, & more pay. He wants to blow up credentialed elitism — those who reject tuition free college for all. https://nypost.com/2019/04/21/pete-buttigieg-compares-bernie-supporters-and-trump-fans/ …

In fact, Sanders supporters sometimes make arguments like these themselves to claim Bernie will appeal to Trump voters. It's an extremely weird thing to get upset about unless they're deliberately looking to pick a fight with Buttigieg.pic.twitter.com/I2oITRTFD8

For context: Buttigieg now at 14% vs. Bernie and Biden at "just" 19% in the latest Iowa poll. That's quite problematic for both frontrunners given their higher name recognition.http://orlando-politics.com/2019/04/22/exclusive-latest-gravis-marketing-iowa-poll/ …

Also out today, a new New Hampshire poll with much better numbers for Bernie than what we've been seeing in other early-state polls recently. But it also shows Buttigieg surging into a strong 3rd place.pic.twitter.com/SiMi9VSqjn

My exception was to Buttigieg saying that Bernie, like Trump, wanted to “blow up” the system. Bernie is running on a concrete, positive agenda on healthcare, childcare, education. He’s not running a campaign stoking anger, division and resentment in the way Trump did.

Hard to deliver a ‘positive’ message in the face of a dystopian health care, child care, and education system. I want anger of behalf of African Americans being executed, not kumbaya. I understand though if this status quote works for some people, they’d want a happy message.

Yeah, but I am angry, and Sanders still has a positive message. So I don't really grasp what they're talking about.

NOT! Sneaky Pete is conflating the two to try and stop Sanders. He's in collusion with DNC centrists to knife Bernie in the back. It's 2016 all over again. As always, the real collusion is with DNC centrists in the back rooms to stop Bernie.pic.twitter.com/Avo5QowH8f

And what do you think Nate Silver is? Part of the DNC machine. After his 2016 epic FAIL at prognosticating the results, from marching to the DNC narrative drum, he now joins the marching band as a Majorette.

Attending a meeting about party unity doesn’t mean there’s a conspiracy against Bernie. Maybe people just don’t want a 77 year old fossil in the WH.

So why is he launching unprompted attacks against Bernie and his supporters? He could have made the same points without mentioning Bernie or trying to link him to Trump. If Buttigieg had an policy points, he wouldn't need to go negative to try to get more attention.

Nobody is ‘attacking’ Bernie, he pointed out both Trump & Bernie’s populist messages in 2016 & saw similarities. Bernie doesn’t have policies, his campaign is ‘everything is free’.
