Among adults <50 years old, (slightly) more Americans identify as liberal than conservative, which is pretty new and different. I suspect there are plenty of folks <50 who are still conservative; but they likely don't relate to how that term has morphed in the age of McConnell/Trump.

I’ve found in that case they identify as Libertarian and say they’re socially open (ok with weed) but fiscally conservative
