Being forced to edit in MS Word is right up there with visits to the dental hygienist and colonoscopies, without any of the benefits.

@NateMeyvis Indesign — not a perfect solution, but it's stable, has excellent search & replace, and better typography than TeX.
@vcaston Thanks for replying; I wasn't familiar with InDesign. (I prefer to stick with text files, so Sublime Text 2 + git etc.)

@NateMeyvis@vcaston I'm sure text files are the best way to go, but Indesign gives exceptional control over the typography & wysiwyg -
