      @QuantPoker @apokerplayer My wife worked at a shelter for 5 years. Shuddered at the thought of the coinflip. Ugh.

      @NateMeyvis Yeah, many seem shocked. Thinking about saying something. Separating the families before the draw would at least help a little.

      @NateMeyvis They were sympathetic but also said it was their standard practice to settle many close calls with flips, which seems weird.

          @NateMeyvis Yeah, they often use random draws when 2+ qualified families apply for the same dog. Everything else about the org seems great.
