The Sox balanced out that terrible year in 2013, which was probably my favorite Red Sox season to follow, especially the hitting clinic they put on in the playoffs.
As Chris Davis retires, I'm thinking about the game I most associate with him:

"Best 0-for-8 ever" seems certain: Hard to imagine someone's defense providing more value than 2 scoreless extra innings. And if a full-time pitcher went 0-for-8 either that's a ton of innings or the game itself is so high-scoring that they're not pitching well.
