I’ve long wondered if spacetime is discrete, and if the speed of light is one discrete unit of space per one discrete unit of time.
I haven’t spent much time wondering how to prove or disprove it, because the tools we already have to measure very small things hurt my brain. 
A wonderful analysis prof once noted (after a lecture on integration or measures or something): "We've known for decades that nature is fundamentally discrete.
