My feed is full of folks who already knew who they were voting for, knew the debate was going to be a shitshow, and watched it anyway. People, this is *why* it's a shitshow. The networks want a spectacle you feel compelled to watch, even if it's a trainwreck. Don't reward them.

I don't doubt he's taken it to a new low, but these debates have been a farce long before anyone dreamed Trump might be a part of them.

You're talking about how the networks conspired to produce this result of a shitshow debate but, again, the only person responsible for last night's shitshow debate was a candidate

There are a zillion things they could do to structure debates differently if they wanted a different outcome. More informed moderators, different questions, cutting off mics, longer time allowed for answers, etc. T's behavior was predicable, and they did nothing to preempt it.
