Perhaps it’s just a difference in what speakers/genres I consume but it is striking how much less nutritional content there is in 5 minutes of video versus 5 minutes of podcast. Not sure why. Is it the imperative to be engaging? Is it one speaker versus two?
First place my mind goes is comparative advantage. Even if there's no *intrinsic* reason for video to be lower-content, there could be solid economics behind that being where the equilibrium is.
