      And now @LongHallOwl reminded me of another one that nearly eclipsed it! Second game of 2013 season, Rangers stupidly didn’t give Yu the opening day start. @lonestarball hosted an outing for exiled Rangers fans. Planned to go for 4-5 innings as I was 38 weeks pregnant. (1/2)

      Couldn’t leave a perfect game, so we stayed to the bitter end to see it broken up by 9th-hole hitter (rookie, then, maybe?) Marwin Gonzalez. Went into labor four nights later and had my daughter that weekend. She just turned seven, sigh.

      Wait wait wait--you were there? I remember that game vividly (I was chez @mediastudied). I remember thinking that Marwin Gonzalez was a future trivia question answer (worm-burner up the middle, if memory serves). I'm glad he's proven me wrong by having a real career. Cool story!

      Yes! I debated it for a while, I knew sitting in a stadium seat was not going to be comfortable. But @lonestarball is a really fun community, the event was in Houston, so I bought the tickets and decided to make a game day call. (1/2)

      Sure (I really respect @lonestarball's work). And during the rotten years I can't imagine paying the ticket price for some option value was a bad idea.
