Good morning! There are a lot of terminal history-search hacks, but for me the best by far is just to define: alias fh="history | grep"

Usual pattern is fh reminds me of some bit of syntax or whatever, then either I just need to repeat the command and can do ![number] or I don't and I know what to type. Certainly ctrl+R is a good tool to combine with it, though.
