I'm thinking it would be activated at instant speed and go on the stack like anything else (except mana abilities, obv), and lead to funny complicated situations where you have to figure out whether the game was decided before or after the stakes doubled, etc.

Play Jace the mind sculptor, opponent force of will, me offers the cube, opponent accepts, me force of will your force. Opponent now owns the cube as I activate Jace :)
