Are you referring to perfect writer for CP/M? Or is this OS more modern? If so it must be a FreeBSD or Unix variant OS?
I remember reading something about an unsuccessful operating system that featured a text editor with Ace Jump (or something like it, a predecessor to modern Ace Jump / easymotion implementations). I can’t find it or any relevant history now. Any links / info would be appreciated.

I can’t remember enough details to answer confidently, but I appreciate the reference to Perfect Writer. The thing I remember is something like: “Gee, the OS / system never took off, but it had an Ace Jump default and it’s a shame that didn’t become standard everywhere.”
