I grew up in suburban Boston and I have never set foot in NYC. Drove through it once, that’s it. (This makes the Red Sox fan in me irrationally happy.)
I don’t know when the last time I set foot in NYC was (the airports don’t count), but it was before Andrew and I were doing a podcast.

After living in Boston for a few years I went on a trip to NYC wearing my well worn Sox hat. I got harassed literally within minutes of arriving, right outside Port Authority (bus station). Made me feel like a proper Sox fan
