Adult baby speak?
I try to use his vocabulary plus reasonable expansions thereof. I wouldn’t say I talk to him like an adult, exactly, but he’s just starting to use sentences and I want to give him a lot of relevant, intelligible examples of those.

I don’t hv kids but I’ve always done this with them. I know they won’t necessarily understand me, but it opens the door for them to ask, what does that mean?
