What would you estimate to be the percentage of recreational players who enter the WSOP main event who are not properly bankrolled?

Any time an event is a single special instance bankroll doesn't matter as much unless it impedes ones ability to play there normal stakes in the intimidate future.
There's something obviously right / important about that, but a lot of serious recs could really boost their poker careers if they applied the $10k + expenses to poker in other ways. I think a lot of casual WSOP ME recs are making better decisions than a lot of serious ones.

Yeah, I agree with that I"m sure that's the case with a good percent of them. For others its bucketlist (great reason imo) and some just have dumb amounts of money.

Slightly off topic but..... if there is any poker players should do better on bankroll, its account for field size. I saw lots of players that had 15-40k to rolls make packages that involved 3-4 bullets into the big 50. Those tourney and big field re entries are the killers.
