What would you estimate to be the percentage of recreational players who enter the WSOP main event who are not properly bankrolled?

Any time an event is a single special instance bankroll doesn't matter as much unless it impedes ones ability to play there normal stakes in the intimidate future.

There's something obviously right / important about that, but a lot of serious recs could really boost their poker careers if they applied the $10k + expenses to poker in other ways. I think a lot of casual WSOP ME recs are making better decisions than a lot of serious ones.

I have a personal rule that the main event is the only poker tournament I'll ever wager >1% of my liquid net worth on, I wonder how many other recs think similarly
-
Lots! Though the analogous number is often far larger than 1%.

I realize this. I wasn’t as concerned with coming into the question with a precise definition. Just wanted to see where the question led you, and what I got was far more discourse than I anticipated!
