It's not necessarily the passenger making the mistake. A lot of the fishiness is systemic.

Or the argument is like, "Look, my employer expects me to work on the plane and also to be ready to work the second I step off the plane, so I basically have to be in first class," which is like, once you accept the constraints, it does make sense to sit in first class.

I've done a lot of flying in all classes, would say the comfort step up to business is a lot bigger than the incremental step up to first, and the returns are fairly diminishing.

also, thinking about when my Ibanking friends started flying business (on their own dime) would lead me to conclude that more *poker players* belong in coach than are.
