I can write in coach. Also it's possible to be optimizing at the micro level and still have some fishiness built in at the macro.
I get that for _you_ first class is inefficient, but for a lot of people it's not.

This addresses only the "write in coach" half of my response. I also think your logic applies both ways: that it's efficient for some doesn't mean it's efficient for all.
