People w/ facial deformities experience a lot of cruelty. The Hate & Stares I received when Sophia was a baby were painful & made me hide away for 7yrs. I decided over a year ago to stand up & fight against this! I will not be silenced by hate! Thank you for supporting us!

Acknowledging my anxiety was a game changer for me. I’ve practiced the tools that help ease my anxiety for the last 6 months and it’s helped but I realize I will always have to fight against my thoughts that bring on anxiety.

Last year, I realized for the 1st time that I have anxiety bc the frequency increased & it escalated to panick attacks. I’ve had it most of my life but didn’t realize it was anxiety bc battling my own thoughts was typical for me. I’d like to connect w others who have anxiety.

Millions of Americans can't get the mental health treatment they need because there aren't enough providers where they live. Before the end of the year, I introduced bills to expand access to telemedicine & encourage mental health professionals to work where they're most needed.

When you see people taking all the credit for work you’ve done + taking your ideas & not giving you any credit but you don’t say anything because it doesn’t really matter in the end bc people are being helped. I know I have to let it go but it’s disappointing & keeps happening.

Tomorrow is the official end of Paul Ryan’s decade+ assault on Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security & pre-existing conditions. Even as he took tax dollars from the treasury & railed against these programs, they all served more people, got more efficient & improved their impact.

This ugly tweet is not an outlier, and neither is Jerry Falwell. White evangelicals are far and away America’s most racist, nativist, Trumpist demographic, and the primary reason Americans can’t have nice things.

One New Year’s res is to ignore trolls & block immediately(after taking a screen shot to use for a future project😆). I’ve already been tested a handful of times in 2019 & not sure how long I’ll make it😂 but for now, I’ve ignored, blocked. Mama is still smiling!! 😄✌🏻
