Not putting KPIs into retainer contracts. Hired a developer this year. They took me for an absolute mug. They did little to no work and said they clocked hours and were entitled to pay. But their output was nothing. Still fighting this battle. Lesson learned

Focusing solely on the big deals - and getting burned. This year we acquired some massive clients, who were generating us > $8,000 MRR Then the recession happened - $16,000 gone..... pooof Lesson - makes sure you have a plan for when the big deals Pooof!

You can't scale a business alone. Something I wish I realised sooner. Even the solopenuers of the world admit outsourcing . ....your time is precious. Outsource what you can't automate and spend your time wisely

Your marketing and sales campaigns are only as good as the customer data you have. If you have the wrong contact information. Or The right information about the wrong people. You'll find yourself with little success. No matter how good your messaging is.
