First crack at a world map for my , Winter Dragon. This was so much fun! Each day the world becomes more substantial & the characters materializing. The map makes it feel real 😊 Thanks for for his tweet about .

From now on when some author complains that the SF/F genre isn't like it was back when he was winning awards, my response will be to pick up one of the many great SF/F stories being published today and enjoy the hell out of it! 13/13

Apparently I’ve been procrastinating writing by scrolling a Twitter feed for 11 years. I wonder how many more books I’d have written in that time without Twitter?😂

Elon Musk’s definition of free speech: not only can you falsely yell “fire” in a crowded theater, you should be allowed to prosper from the resultant stampede.

Brutal but after ten years in the biz, I agree with this post (and guilty of some of these complaints over the years!). Writers, do you agree with this post?

Decades ago (srsly) I had a crazy idea to write a novel. I didn't know what I was doing, but I learned, and I did it. See? Gatekeeper's Key is book 1 of my trilogy in 4 parts. It is now out in all formats. (2 & 3 are out in audiobook too!).

Finished recent edit of my and… Regardless of outcome, I wrote the story I intended to write & I’m satisfied. The final 1/3 does what I hoped—builds to a kick-ass climax that both satisfies the arc and is bittersweet. Mission accomplished! 😊

Y'all. My friends. Huge shout out to for changing their membership requirements. It's official: the pathway to membership for indie SFF writers just become a whole lot less burdensome. Excited to get my application together to finally join.

1/ Love that so many romance authors are speaking out against transphobic legislation. BUT if you’re an author who really cares about trans folks- now is a good time to take a look at your own work and make it a safer for trans ppl. Somethings to look for:

Guys, I took Econ 101 and did everything you need to get an econ PhD short if write a dissertation. You know what? Econ 101 genuinely is conservative propaganda.
