        False equivalency, none of those were unilateral. Many times it was CONGRESS upgrading them to National Parks or finalizing boundaries for National Monuments, or in case of Castle Pinckney, transferred to another entity such as Corps of Engineers and eventually the State of SC.

        Um...no, In 1938, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt considered abolishing the Castle-Pinkney National Monument, AG Homer Cummings advised that the president did not have the power to take this step. CONGRESS abolished the monument in 1951. In general, that's been the case.

        Please note your resource on this statement: As far as I have seen, No President has ever abolished or revoked a national monument. From my understanding the existence or scope of any such authority has not been tested in courts either. Hopefully you are not spreading Fake News.
