    To celebrate we're sharing our favourite example of beautiful handwriting from our archives. General Register of Sasines, 1617 - written in Latin, with the most floral, cursive writing. It's the opening page of the world's FIRST national land register 📜

  10. Our monthly , just published this morning, show there were 5,380 deaths registered in December 2019 - that's 3.5 per cent more than the average of the previous five Decembers. See more information here

  13. We're on 's Crime Files tonight on @ 9pm. We can't tell you what's being featured but NRS is displaying some fascinating artefacts from a shocking historical trial. It was a big one. It was a scandalous one.
