A script kiddy, as I use the term, isn't interested in learning, just in vandalism. Uses others' tools, doesn't understand them.

I suspect most of those banging on doorknobs and ending up in the press are that sort. Creative minds always less common.

So, how do you call people who use their computers to invade other computers, steal/destroy data and commit DDos attacks?

In many cases they are accurately defined as CIA cutouts & FBI tools lol.. also DDoS is not hacking it's a 'virtual sit in' blocking entry!
