“They call themselves The Resistance...Oh, these resistors resist.” -tRump Why, yes we do. Also, I’d like to point out that we’re not resisting the will of the American people. We ARE the American people. Expect us. 😏

Let’s take a moment to reflect on this: tomorrow, Pence, the Cabinet, some political appointees are getting 10k raises. This, as the moron in charge says he might keep the government shut for years. The inner circle gets richer while 800 thousand workers are not getting paid.

  4. Let's all take a moment to appreciate how royally Trump has f-ed himself. If he ends the shutdown without $ for the wall his base will freak out But if he keeps it closed, he loses the independent voters he needs in 2020. And he's too stupid to figure out a solution.

WOW "Since the tax cuts were passed, the 1,000 largest public companies have actually reduced employment, on balance. They have announced the elimination of nearly 140,000 jobs — which is almost double the 73,000 jobs they say they have created"

  11. Contract workers like custodians & cafeteria workers are some of the lowest paid people in the federal govt. Under the , they won’t see a dime of back pay. It’s infuriating & utterly unfair that hardworking families are paying for Pres Trump’s incompetence.

  12. I know wants the government shut down, but last night, the House passed two bi-partisan, GOP-drafted, and GOP-supported bills which would open the government. He should support these bills.

  15. When you push reckless policies that squander our resources, defy our values, leave 800,000 federal workers unpaid and millions of Americans without needed services, you don’t need to declare a national emergency. You are the national emergency.

Central lesson of Korematsu is that very bad things happen when the President uses the national emergency excuse to violate the Constitution. The House has the Power of the Purse. The notion that can usurp that power by making up a "national emergency" is preposterous.

Factual basis for a national emergency: -Violent crime DROPPED according to latest FBI data. -Property crime also DROPPED. -Immigrants, both documented a & undocumented, commit LESS CRIME than native-born Americans. Courts would strike down this power grab.
