1/ NEW: After the DOJ announced the indictment of Steve Bannon & three @WeBuildtheWall associates, @realDonaldTrump said he didn't know anyone involved in the project and “didn't like it.”
But We Build the Wall employees have suggested otherwise.

8/ The president took steps weeks ago to distance himself from a private border project built with support from
@WeBuildTheWall, following a report from@JinATX,@Perla_Trevizo & me showing the new wall was already eroding.https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1282276752090431490 …Lexi Churchill added,
Donald J. TrumpVerified account @realDonaldTrumpI disagreed with doing this very small (tiny) section of wall, in a tricky area, by a private group which raised money by ads. It was only done to make me look bad, and perhsps it now doesn’t even work. Should have been built like rest of Wall, 500 plus miles. https://twitter.com/JinATX/status/1280906942475571200 …52 replies 631 retweets 1,419 likesShow this thread -
9/ Read our original reporting detailing the erosion here. Engineers told us the wall should not have been built so close to the river. Tommy Fisher, the constructor behind the wall, says it can be fixed.https://www.propublica.org/article/he-built-a-privately-funded-border-wall-its-already-at-risk-of-falling-down-if-not-fixed …

Replying to @LChurchilll
That stretch wasn't subgraded properly if at all and it appears there was little to no surface restoration. Was it ever inspected?

Nope. We are suing them, and our engineers got to inspect it a couple of weeks ago. Those reports should be filed next week. They will not be good for Tommy Fisher...
