This article is biased and misrepresentative... Vice allows no Comments to contest its' error either. I will mention 1, the concern that debris n a flood will fill the bollard spaces & it will fail or cause flooding. Carrizo cane would seem to present an even worse risk.
Next time it floods, we invite you to visit and watch hay bales, cars, cows and even houses float downstream into the wall. Only someone who has never experienced this part of the Rio Grande floodplain would make such an uninformed comment.
