Why on earth is he so obsessed with a fricking butterfly refuge of all things???
They are right on the border. They oppose the wall primarily because it would catastrophically disrupt the habitat they maintain. Their presence on the border prevents completion of said wall.
Also, MAGA outrage grifting.
Wait, hold on. Is this the same butterfly sanctuary run by a trump supporter that made the news a few years back?
NOT run by a Trump supporter. Washington Post published an op-ed "by" an employee. NOTE: WaPo WROTE the piece & printed it w/o correction of errors & inaccuracies. That employee chose to admit his vote in 2016 & his abandonment of the GOP, which he now believes is wholly corrupt.
Thanks for the clarification! It wouldn't have changed my support for the butterfly center in either case.
Thank you. It was a bizarre experience. WaPo does not accept Op-Eds from citizens, but has a ghost writer produce them. Never again! The employee hopes there are millions more like him... He spoke out to affect change & act his conscience; to be a truly good steward.
