Anyway, if you think that WaPo article makes people sympathetic to the butterfly cause, I fear you do not understand how people work.
We do care about PR. We are a very small nonprofit (fewer than 10 employees) & never imagined we'd be the center of this maelstrom. We welcome assistance, if anyone will volunteer to help us. Still, won't change the fact we cannot restrict an individual's right to write an op-ed

Well no, no one expects you too. But you do need to make a statement to the fact that your organization in general doesn't support the opinions of individual volunteers. That will mitigate some of the negative PR. You don't even have to refer to this specific individual
