They delayed nothing, and he knows it. Quotes < Facts. If you did your homework you would know his statement is false.

You've lobbed insults at me and my news org now and you've attempted to discredit my work publicly without the common decency of sitting down to discuss and u admitted to your bias against, not the story but an elected member of Congress..we're good here.

And no, we're NOT good. You did your listeners a disservice. You gave them misinformation. When the media does that--and puts personal ego above professionalism--it's NEVER GOOD.
