Being Irish during the whole Brexit thing is like being the neighbour of that guy who was building his own rocket to prove that the Earth is flat. His inevitable failure is going to be all his own fault but it's still probably going to burn down your conservatory.

Start fireproofing your conservatory now! Or move it to the other side of your house! We are going all in and we will not rest until we have destroyed our own economy and showered anyone nearby in shit. Some posh bloke with strangulated vowels demands it.

Speaking as a Dutchie that moved to Germany last year; It is also because they're slow as all hell to implement any change. Example: after having enjoyed a decade of glassfiber in the NL I am now back to DSL in DE. But overall, yes, they have their priorities straight!
