going to multiple pet stores to look at cats. hopefully i can take one home same day. but im confused about if all places require a home inspection for the safety of the cat or how that works. super nervous ; n ;

wasn’t able to bring a cat home today, was super indecisive because it is a huge decision and i want to be 100% sure i got the perfect cat. so there will be a delay on the cat picture spam. :3c

The rest of the comments have been the same, but definitely don't adopt from a pet store. Get a rescue from a shelter or adopt a kitten from a good breeder. Do research. Don't rush. Pet stores support unethical breeding, don't take care of their pets, abandon ones that don't sell

They support things like puppy mills and they don't care about the bloodline or diseases or anything that the pet's parents may have passed on to it's babies. They are just trying to make money. You're way better off adopting from a shelter.

yeah. i’ve been taking people’s advice to heart and adopt from a shelter. i went to a shelter to look but couldn’t decide so i’ll be making multiple trips to be sure :) thanks naomi <3

all of my cats are rescues! was able to score one of them as a kitten from the pound too, it's been fun having him grow up with me. i'm looking into another one soon and i will never ever get from a pet store. 4 cats - crazy cat lady?

i was indecisive about some kitties cause they were rescued from a bad owner so they were super super shy. and i’m concerned that they’ll forever be reserved and i’m looking for a more playful kitty. but i’m sure it just takes more love to help them grow more confident and loving
