I've been losing my voice on and off since September. This is the hardest thing I've had to deal with as a streamer. It impacts me physically and emotionally, and it affects my stream. The first time it happened, it was caused by coughing too much while sick, and a convention. -

I couldn't stop streaming entirely, and constant use of my voice extended the healing time way beyond what it should have been. The next few times were due to silly karaoke streams without warming up. Mistakes that I've learned from, but it's still so disheartening. -

Specialists are so hard to get to with how our healthcare system is set up, so a throat doctor is currently out of the question. I'm really hoping it'll heal soon, and that nothing is permanently damaged. Talking shouldn't hurt. I'm sorry for all of the short streams lately :<

You have nothing to be sorry for. I only do 3ish hour streams because I can't physically manage much more and people are so kind.

Be kind to yourself. Taking a step back to protect your health is not a bad thing and not your fault. You're doing the best thing for you x

<3 I'm sure it's a bigger problem in my head than it actually is, it's just a bit crushing after how well the end of 2017 went. Also, singing is my passion and I used to sing all the time on stream. Not being able to eats away at me. MUST RECOVER

You WILL recover if you do what your body needs to recover. I doubt that you're going to be unwell forever and there will be something that can help your throat. Fingers crossed treatment is a possibility for you soon <3 I know the singing struggle

I have CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia among other conditions and the CFS/ME severely affects my throat when I flare up (every couple of days atm) so I understand the frustration. But that frustration is only at yourself, nobody else is annoyed or frustrated with you <3

You do so amazingly for what you're up against. Thank you for pushing, and for inspiring others to push too. Keep kicking life's ass whenever you can, and riding the wave when you can't

I'm trying. Feel like I'm failing most days, but the days I can do little normal things feel good. I wish things were easier but that's not how lifeis.

Those little normal things are big battles won. We're in this together.
