If I ever used Astros it was because I was at a con and they were supplied. I bought a set and gave them away because the mic quality was not great and they weren't nearly as comfortable as my headphones. But.. if you NEED a headset and not standalone mic/phones, they're alright.

Good to know. I'm really looking for blocking the background sound and not having the open line hiss in my current Kraken's. You know, that low white static sound when audio is low. Good to know RE: mic though. Thank you!
