9 would give the best overall experience, 10 is quite slow for me.
As someone who has never played a FF game before, does it make sense to start with 7, then play 10?

They are all seperate stories but i stared with X and fell in love with the series! Personally think it's great one to start with!

Most definitely play 10! Amazing game w/ an awesome storyline and characters! I started playing it again recently since I have HD Remaster.

there honestly isn't a bad game in the series (except the 13 trilogy) that would be bad to start with. 7 or 10 for sure tho
