Fellow ADHDers, a question: It's anxiety inducing to have a to-do list that seems endless and more urgent by the day. But... do you ever get *more* anxious once you start accomplishing things and crossing them off, like you're not doing enough, or you ruined/missed something?

Whenever I start getting an above-average amount of things done, I start getting more stressed out rather than less, seeing that list shrink. It's as though I have to check a hundred times to accept that I did, in fact, finish those important things, and there's no emergency.

yes!!!! i get stuck in never ending list hell -i break something into more steps so it’s not so overwhelming -more steps means more crossing off (that’s supposed to give the good chemical!!) -more steps -more steps -more stepd -morestp -too many steps, too afraid to start :(

sometimes, yes. but i try not to dwell on the feeling of all the building emotions. Once you begin running, you can't turn around. It's rough, i trip most of the time, but i get back up and try to finish. Good luck with the running, naomi. Remember how fast neve is!

Absolutely. My mind is in a constant state of believing I am doing something wrong, or forgetting tasks entirely. ADHD and anxiety are never easy, but they are not struggles that have to be dealt with alone. I will always offer my time to my friends whenever they need help.

It's best to have a schedule on when things need to be finished even if they aren't due on those particular days. You have that sense of accomplishments as well as free time to do whatever you wanna do on that day.

Hmm, gonna consider how I can implement this in my schedule! Thanks for the suggestion :)

All the damn time....and it's frustrating that I KNOW I'm getting things accomplished....but then ADHD brain goes and finds the 6 other things I forgot about too.

Im not sure if i got adhd or my adhd like symptoms are just heavily intertwined with my sources of depresso, but perfectionism, self doubt and basing ones entire worth in life on one’s progress is something i suffer and see exacerbate whenever i try to do lists or plan. 💀❤️
