wait really I never actually looked at the tax part before wtf so on top of the extra $2 paid for it not being real milk theres extra tax as well?
Not "extra" tax as in additional taxes, but it is taxed at the normal GST/HST rates, while dairy products aren't due to being classified as basic groceries. Unfortunate that milk alternatives aren't considered basic groceries, as they're a necessity for a lot of people.
