A reminder that it's easy to use they/them when you don't know someone's pronouns
Not used to it? Sure you are, you've already been doing it for years:
That person over there, why are they looking at me, they're coming closer, oh no they have a knife, they're chasing me run-
That's understandable! The easiest way to reframe it in your mind to encompass a singular person is to think of some phrase like, "this being here, they are a person, this is them."
