The hand muscle memory is there.... The brain memory for which note is the correct one to put the first finger on for each chord is gone :b

That's how I feel about guitar too, but guitar has the benefit of fret markings. I think piano is harder to remember. Its been almost 5 years since I played but I remember chord shapes and scales.

muscle memory is insane, it always amazes me how even years after doing something your body still knows what its meant to do for the most part, if missing some of the finer details
