There is plenty of evidence of this exact thing happening. It's very easy to look up. But for you, it seems easier to cover your ears and yell profanities at people.
The proposed amendments were written in 1791. The right to bear arms was never intended to refer to guns like an AK that can mow down a crowd of Innocents in seconds. Think of the kinds of guns they had back there. Can't unload on a crowd when your gun takes a minute to reload.

But... That just supports the point. It's fine for people to have weapons to protect themselves, when those weapons couldn't destroy the lives of tens or hundreds of people in seconds. Now that we have weapons of literal mass destruction, there should be different laws
