Pet parents of Twitter- what’s one thing you wish you knew before you brought your first cat or dog home?
I want my own furbaby so badly, but I want to make sure I take the time to find the right fit for us and to do proper research.

Find a cat that gets along with other cats since you might want a second cat at some point, especially if your first one turns out to be antisocial.
And if the baby has a sibling, definitely 100% for sure adopt 2! They're so much better off together

We saw the cutest rescue mama and baby kitties and, while we weren't ready to adopt then, I really hoped that they would be adopted together. It was so sweet to see the love they had for each other when they interacted!

Yess! A lot of times the mama cat will end up wanting to be alone once her kittens are grown up, but siblings are almost always happier together! I follow so many cat accounts on Instagram lol
