She didn't though did she. Also, you think parading a dead carcass of animal like that around is funny and justifiable just bc she eats it at the end? It's cruel and disgusting. I don't give two shits about the bathwater at all, but the animal cruelty is not okay.

Hang on for a second. Animal cruelty is inflicting harm or suffering on an animal. A living animal that can feel those things. That is absolutely unacceptable. But it's not alive when she has eyes on it and is taking pics. When it's already been killed for food, why the big fuss?

I understand vegan values. I follow a vegan diet most of the time and try to reduce my impact on creatures and the planet. But if your anger is towards anyone that consumes meat/seafood/products at all, it doesn't make sense to be any *more* mad about her actions than others.

Stop. It's not okay to parade the dead carcass of an animal around like a cheap puppet. And A LOT of people who aren't even vegan found that careless and offensive. I can't even believe you're defending that tbh it's seriously fucked up.

I'm not praising what she did by why means. I just don't understand the extreme anger.

Where's this "extreme anger"? Saying I don't like that she did that and she should leave dead animals out of it isn't "extreme anger." It's actually a very calm and level headed response. It seems more like you're just avers to someone just mentioning disliking animal cruelty.

Except that what she did with it is not the act of cruelty. Her making the purchase was supporting the cruelty of killing it. The fact that it was killed is wrong. But what she does with it? Whether she eats it or puts googly eyes on it, what's the difference? 1/2

The fact that you don't see parading around a dead carcass of an animal like that as cruel is alarming. It very much is, and like I said - if you're a carnist you might as well drop this conversation now bc I'm not going to cater or pander to murdering and desecration of animals

Like I said earlier, I live a vegan lifestyle as much as I can. I just don't understand why you're considering the pictures she took any more cruel than buying it in the first place, or killing it before that.

Just say you don't understand why some people are not okay with killing animals and move on. You keep twisting stuff and missing the point and I'm not wasting any more time on this.

Who's twisting what now? You're even ignoring my respect and adherence to veganism. I don't see the *difference* between killing the octopus, eating the octopus, posting pictures of sushi, or doing what she did with it. You're responding as though it's worse. It's all the same.
