I'm genuinely curious about why this is? I know why reposts are terrible, but if a person quote retweets and says something like "This person makes absolutely incredible art like this all the time, check them out!" and to see the art people need to click on the original tweet...?

It's fine in that case. But Quoting a retweet and acting as if you're talking/replying to them directly is just redundant and kinda breaks the flow of things
