Hint for devs at #PAXWest
: Have a freaking elevator pitch. Sell your game in 1-2 sentences and make them count. If I ask "what's this game about?" I don't just want to hear, "oh, it's a puzzle game." Put some energy behind it. And if you have to, ACT like you're not dead tired.

If you don't look or sound like you care about your game, why should I? It's HIGHLY competitive out there on the show floor. Hire someone to be your pep artist if you must. But don't squander your time and money at a convention if you're not going to connect with anyone.

Also, if you schedule appointments with influencers, know your schedule. I had a couple today who had no clue they scheduled appointments.
